浅论RFID标签生产设备中的Transponder和Inlay

　　作为一名标签制造人员，在操作外国进口设备时候，就会发现一件奇怪的事情，那就是妙莎设备操作界面有个transponder和纽豹操作界面的inlay，在参数设置时，都是差不多个意思的。刚开始以为是表达方式不同罢了，但今天通过百度一查，才知道原来这两个单词所有代表的意思还真是不太一样的。

　　Transponder

　　In telecommunication, a transponder can be one of two types of devices. In air navigationor radio frequency identification, a flight transponder is an automated transceiver in an aircraft that emits a coded identifying signal in response to an interrogating received signal.

　　有道翻译transponder是应答器的意思，作为标签生产人员，我们很少接触到硬件，所以对应答器这个概念还是比较陌生的，凭字面意思上很难去理解所谓的应答器，在维基上的意思，transponder被表示成空中导航或者rfid，它是一种收发机。感觉很拗口。后面看到一篇文章“What is an RFID Transponder?”则阐述的比较通俗。

　　该篇文章中将transponder直接表述为标签，是一种检测并返还响应的装置。包括被动、半被动和主动。其实就是我们听到有源，半有源，无源。关于被动，这直接让我联想到蝙蝠，通过发生超声波再反射回来的信号。那标签应该就是类似下面图中的障碍物了。也就应答器。因为它也是先应后答。

　　Inlay

　　Inlay covers a range of techniques in sculpture and the decorative arts for inserting pieces of contrasting, often coloured materials into depressions in a base object to form ornament or pictures that normally are flush with the matrix.

　　inlay不管是在有道还是维基中，虽然字面不是用在电子通讯行业的，但可以大概都是表示镶嵌物，镶嵌，插入的意思。而在普通标签的三层结构中，inlay材料正常就是夹在面材和底材中间的。

　　因为我个人认为纽豹的设备中用inlay来表达更加形象简明。
